Welcome to the Merrimack County Sheriff's Office

The Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office, nestled between the hills of Boscawen, New Hampshire, serves approximately 153,800 residents and 956 sq. miles of Merrimack County.

In New Hampshire, the Sheriff’s Office holds the highest law enforcement authority and has statewide jurisdiction. That means any sworn deputy from the Sheriff’s Office can investigate crimes, stop motor vehicles, serve paperwork, and perform arrests in any county in the state! Here at the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office, we perform a number of different tasks.

Our office is primarily made up of seven divisions, to include administration, civil, transports, warrants, investigations, court security and communications. Our deputies, while primarily assigned to one division, are cross trained in all aspects of the office.
